Déroulement

  • Un scénario de coaching est choisi. Par exemple : « Un manager (le coaché) fait appel à deux coachs pour améliorer la collaboration dans une équipe ».

  • A chaque itération, Oana présente une nouvelle technique de coaching à utiliser. Les participants forment des groupes. Dans chaque groupe, on retrouve deux coachs, un coaché et quelques observateurs. Le groupe effectue un coaching en se basant sur le scénario, qui reste le même durant toute la journée. Les participants débriefent ensuite tous ensemble.
  • Puis, une nouvelle itération commence. Les participants changent de rôle. Les groupes changent également.

Les techniques et astuces de coaching que j’ai appréciées

  • Click/Click Rewind :  Si les coachs ou le coaché ont besoin de mettre le coaching sur « pause » pour débriefer entre eux, ils peuvent dire « click ». Ils peuvent également revenir en arrière en disant « click rewind ».
  • Oui…et : Quand le coaché répond « oui, mais … », les coachs essayent de lui faire reformuler la phrase avec un « oui, et … », afin de le mettre dans un état d’esprit positif et ouvert.
  • L’art du questionnement : Partir à la recherche d’information en privilégiant les questions ouvertes plutôt que fermées. Que ressens-tu? Pour qui? Quoi? Quand? Comment?
  • L’art de maitriser les 4 niveaux d’écoute : poussive (à éviter), factuel, empathique, générative (à privilégier)
  • Attention à l’agenda (caché) du coach : Le coach travaille pour le bénéfice du client et adapte sa stratégie en conséquence. Il n’oriente pas sa stratégie pour atteindre un objectif personnel.
  • Pratiquer le coaching en binôme : Se synchroniser sur une stratégie de coaching en binôme et la suivre à deux est plus complexe que d’être seul aux commandes. Néanmoins, quand le binôme fonctionne, le coaching est beaucoup plus efficace.

Mon avis

  • Au fil de la journée, les participants ont donc la possibilité d’itérer sur leur posture de coach, en rajoutant et en expérimentant une nouvelle technique de coaching à chaque fois, tout en gardant le même scénario de coaching de base. On se voit tous évoluer en même temps, tout en gardant chacun des styles et des postures différents. C’est très intéressant.
  • Même quand on est déjà coach, pratiquer le coaching en binôme avec différents types de personnalité est riche en apprentissage et en émotion. Personnellement, c’est l’aspect que j’ai le plus apprécié.
  • Il est difficile de coacher un participant qui joue un rôle, car sa demande de coaching n’est pas authentique, même s’il est bon acteur. Ce n’est pas gênant pour s’entrainer mais on voit vite les limites de l’exercice.
